Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Learn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is sticking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?

What could I possibly have to say? My favorite web project, my baby… 'thehourproject' is now closed. I could find no way to bring interest upon it; no way to get people involved and what once was such a beautiful thing has now died. It ran for over a year with no down time and continuous improvement and it was a great experience, I'm just glad I was apart of it.

My newest project was just released to the public last week. 'tsgearheads' This is a car site and in its first two weeks of being open we already have over 100 users. The site is designed for 'American car' enthusiasts to share pictures of their cars, and discuss future developments and modifications of these vehicles. We also have quite a few people writing tech articles on some of the restorations they are doing on misc hobby projects. It's a good site and I have a good crew this time around.

That is all for now.

I'm on a mission
let it take you back and forth
another jam blast gonna make you scream for more
from New York, London to Amsterdam
let's rock
I wanna rock your body rock

It's been a while since my last post or recent activity; I've been busy, busy, busy. My wife and I just purchased a house out here in Fort Walton Beach and moved in a week ago; I'll post some pictures if anyone wants to see. I'm up to 4 web jobs now besides my normal 40+ work schedule, married life, video game playing and now added house work.

The bar/restaurant portal site has been pushed back and won't be completed for another month to two months. My other new jobs are car sites. The first is an aftermarket American style car mod, performance, and effects community site for the hardcore dirty underground; the second is a store for custom built car performance kits. The guy sells some pretty advanced fabricated equipment really quick and inexpensive. I will have some links up for anyone who wants to check these two new additions out within the month. Some great stuff to look forward to if you're into cars.

My last site is still of course The Hour Project. I have no idea what to do with this site as far as getting it going. One by one we get a new user or two but the enthusiasm dies before anything really gets started. I am at a loss on how to advertise and bring people in. I don't really have a lot of help with this one and it's a shame because it really is a good idea. I'm just a web programmer though, I like setting up the tools and frame but the management and advertising of the sites is not my specialty. If anyone has any tips or advice please let me know.

Chase faded days, with eyes that cannot see…
I wanna feel it again, washing over me.
Discover all of you, one moment at a time;
Taste smell secret cell, your soul it touches mine.

I just landed another web job developing a community site for a club/restaurant review magazine. This should prove to be fun project because I will have a lot of freedom and can make it artsy; not to mention it gives me an excuse to visit a bunch of restaurants/clubs so I can take pictures and enjoy myself. I will post the link once it's up and polished. It should give me something new as well, most of my time is web programming not web designing, perhaps this will give me a fresh perspective.

In other news I have a few days off this week and plan on carrying out a huge overhaul of my current project, The Hour Project. I need to upgrade the structure and fix quite a few minor bugs. I plan to rework the entire theme from the safe green to a more hip, possibly dark style and prep it for implementing a flash injection later on in the month; hopefully I can work with the designer and have this pushed a little earlier. This site needs quite a bit of work still and I hope to achieve some of it during my time off.

I don't really have much to say currently, nothing witty or clever, nothing abstract or intentionally artsy. I will though, give me time. Currently I am working on a few projects.

The Hour Project
We are an online community of artists and writers coming together to share ideas, opinions, and thoughts, however diverse they may be. We currently host long and short stories, poetry, and a photo gallery with a forum that is still growing.

It's a pretty cool project but it's hard to get the word out about it. My part on this site is the main php developer, customizing applications, writing some of my own code, and taking apart others. It is written within the phpnuke 7.4 and currently the site owner and I are trying to switch a large portion of the interface into flash. This should prove to be very interesting indeed.

We have a resident poetry instructor who creates assignments to get people involved with the poetry sections. He reviews the works and critiques them very professionally as a teacher would. The image gallery I'm trying to turn into an artistry group. I myself, an aspiring amateur photographer, create assignments for other photographers to join in and share works and discuss it. I would like to see more than just photography in this artistry group and will have graphic assignments just as much as I will have photo and photo editing sessions. Currently we have a small group of around 40 people on the site. Hopefully it will grow into a larger and more active group.

This is supposed to be my personal website. I haven't updated this since 06/05/04. I want to completely remodel the entire site getting rid of a vast majority of its purpose and semi ridiculousness. I had this site connected to my server that was running in my house off of my cable connection, and used a login process to connect from this site to my server to download all sorts of piracy. It actually worked really well and was a great project to work on, but when I moved from Toledo, Ohio to Fort Walton Beach, Florida I went about 6 months without my server. I disconnected all access to it and killed the project; I tried to swap it out with a phpcpg portal and have access that way. Someday when I find the time I'll start it back up.

Guldenbax
This was a quick site I threw together for my wedding which took place a few weeks ago; dec 4 2004. It served its purpose as a quick photo gallery and information for guests. Now I just port photo galleries off of it like this one:

My Fish
This is my online fish photo gallery, Cool ey?

This isn't a huge plate of work in itself but I am employed by the usaf as an age mechanic. I am also going to school for programming, have a wife, play the ever so important video games and try to be a photographer as well as a computer graphics typa guy. I will definitely be posting some of my work here to share in the community when I can.

Aveis.
